Lyallpur University is committed to a fair, transparent, and merit-based admission process. This Admission Policy outlines the eligibility criteria, application procedures, and requirements for prospective students seeking enrollment in our undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
1. Eligibility Criteria
Admission requirements vary by program:
- Bachelor’s Programs (BS): Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate (FSc/FA/ICS or equivalent) from a recognized board. Specific programs (e.g., BS Computer Science) may require additional subject prerequisites (e.g., Mathematics).
- Master’s Programs (MS/MBA): A relevant bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) with a minimum CGPA of 2.5/4.0 or 50% marks. Some programs require entrance tests (e.g., GAT-General) or interviews.
- Doctoral Programs (PhD): A relevant master’s degree (18 years of education) with a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 or 60% marks. Submission of a research proposal and clearance of the university’s entrance test or GAT-Subject are required.
- Online Programs: Open to all applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent. No entrance test is required for most certificate courses.
2. Application Process
Follow these steps to apply:
- Online Application: Submit your application through the Lyallpur University Admission Portal (http://lyallpur.university/admissions).
- Document Submission: Upload scanned copies of academic transcripts, CNIC/passport, recent photographs, and any required test scores.
- Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable fee via bank transfer, online payment, or at the university’s admission office.
- Entrance Test/Interview: Appear for program-specific tests or interviews, if applicable.
- Admission Offer: Successful candidates will receive an offer letter via email or the admission portal.
- Fee Submission: Confirm enrollment by paying the tuition fee within the specified deadline.
3. International Students
International applicants must provide:
- Equivalence certificates from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan or Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).
- A valid student visa and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from HEC.
- Proof of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL) for non-English-speaking countries.

4. Scholarships and Financial Aid
